I cut all my hair off today! Six inches! WOW! I haven't had short hair in years, but its a nice change to the plain long hair I was working with before. I'm so excited to play with it and find some new funky styles to try.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go hear my "big sister" give her farewell talk. She is leaving on December 1st to go to Managua, Nicaragua for her mission. It was a hard day for me. I cried all through church and even more on the way home. I am sad that she will be gone for so long but I am so thankful that I have her in my life. She has always taken care of me and been such a good example to me. She will be an amazing missionary. I am so proud of her for making the choice to serve and I can't wait to start hearing all of her stories about people she meets.
The most dreaded day of the year for people who work in retail. Unfortunately, that would be me. Well, kinda. People aren't concerned with getting haircuts at 5:00am. So I sat in my little store and had some delicious Thanksgiving leftovers.
This time of the year always gets me feeling sort of depressed, as it does with many other people. But for some reason this year seems a bit different. I have been asking myself questions. Trying to figure out who I am and where I am going with my life. Hard questions. What if?? To be quite honest, I think I may be going crazy. I need a change. A BIG change. Ideas anyone?
Ok. Let's try this again. I like the idea of a blog, but sometimes my add kicks in and it just never actually happens. Since these things are all the rage in the married world :) I'm going to try really hard to keep up on it this time. Our last post was a little over a year ago when my sweet Eric and I were decided where to get married. In a nutshell, we decided and planned and we have now been married a whole month. Go US! We heard that the first year would be the hardest so things are going pretty good. Since, the last few months have been pretty crazy it has been nice to be finally calming down and getting everything settled. We don't get to spend a lot of time together because I work days and he works nights but I LOVE the time we do get.
This is our first post on our new blog! This afternoon Bekkah and I went on a tour of The Victorian reception center in Layton, Utah. We enjoyed it very much, we think we've found the place for our special day. Now the planning has begun. Hope to see all you guys there.
